What's New October 25, 2004 We've updated our news syndication to include regular RSS news feeds, so that you'll have the latest information at your fingertips, instead of waiting for us to update our news links. This improvement will result in automatic regular news updates. We are also working on a newsletter for those of you who prefer to get their news and resources delivered right to your inbox. Stay tuned for more updates coming in the months ahead! May 15, 2004 It's been a while since we've performed any kind of upgrade worth mentioning. We've kept the site "as is" for several reasons, but the time has come to give the site a face-lift and some new important features. First, we've switched to a database-driven directory system developed by DeechNet Communications. I think you'll notice some nice improvements using the site once we validate all of our listings and get them entered into the new system. Second is our community forum revision, which is a major change for us. Forums on the Web have evolved over the last several years, and we're now using the Snitz Forums 200 engine developed by Snitz Communications. We hope you find it much more useful than the previous two forum engines we've used. The original forum in 1997 was written in PERL, and the second forum that we maintained up until now used the Active Server Page engine that was bundled with Front Page 2000. That version had its own share of problems that we expect the new engine will not have. In any case, you'll be seeing a lot of look and feel changes going into our site over the next several weeks, and some additional features arriving soon as well.
